Welcome to Rib Mountain Elementary School

Rib Mountain Elementary School, located on the city's west side, is proud to be part of the Wausau School District. Serving students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade, our school is a place where every child is truly known, valued, and loved. We believe that relationships are where learning happens. When students feel safe, connected, and supported, there is no limit to what they can achieve. As a deeply student-centered community, we pair warm collaboration with strong academic expectations to ensure every child is learning at high levels, challenged, and empowered to flourish. Guided by dedicated educators, an active PTO, and a strong family network, we walk hand-in-hand to help our Mustangs reach their fullest potential.

I am honored to begin my third year as principal of Rib Mountain Elementary. Wausau is where my own story began and giving back to this community is a privilege I hold close to my heart.

Education has never been just a profession to me; it is my life’s work. Every child who walks through our doors arrives with unique gifts, quiet potential, and a need to know they matter. My highest purpose is ensuring that every single student at Rib Mountain feels genuinely seen, deeply valued, and inspired to believe in themselves. The moments I hold most dear are the simple ones: giving high fives and hugs at the morning entrance, sharing laughs in the hallway, and watching a student realize they can accomplish something hard. Those moments are where belonging takes root.

I am continually reminded that we cannot do this work alone. A child’s success is built upon a bridge between home, school, and community. Nurturing trust with our families and standing alongside our dedicated teachers is the foundation of everything we do. Together, we are creating a safe, loving environment paired with high expectations. In doing so, our children grow into kind, brave, and capable human beings.

Over the last two years, we have grown together, learned together, and celebrated together. As we step into this new school year, my heart is full and my commitment is steadfast.
